Final Project: Xenar 242 Theme Park

Xenar 242 has one theme park. A very nationalistic theme park. Children of all ages are welcome, and it's a place adults can relax at at eating establishments by the opening and a space deck on the roof. The first room that you enter is a simulation of the first ship leaving Earth, in search of other planets. The guide explains how they traveled to different systems that were hostile, barren, or radioactive while the room changes around them and shows what these planets looked like in crisp holographic detail (with a full color spectrum and no scan lines).  Finally, the simulation jolts, letting them all relive the same feeling the first humans had as they landed on Xenar 242 for the first time. The doors opens to a wide room filled with different attractions fashioned after the colony's history. Their used to be a shooting range depicting the events of the war between hu mans and Xenrian's during a misunderstanding at first contact, but the Xenarian's and Korath's protested it as being offensive, so its been shut down. Instead, its been replaced with a VI (Virtual Interactive) simulation depicting how Koraths met humans as they traveled through space and how Xenarians and humans managed to make peace and live together. It's the least popular attraction. By far, the most popular attraction is, "Midnight Mayhem: War Between the Intermediates." It's a car ride through an impressive mix of holographic images and real pyrotechnics recreating the night where 10 Intermediates went rogue and the streets had turned into a war zone for 7 days. It's based on a story about a group of reporters trapped in a car during the whole event transcribing how there were entire nights where lasers flew over their car and blew up refueling stations, homes, and the entire sides of buildings.  The second most popular is a roller coaster going through the most powerful VI simulation technology ever created. It takes the rider on a journey above the atmosphere of Xenar 242 during the time when an astroid the size of Mars was bearing down on the planet. Three separate roller coasters, each representing the three ships that disabled and destroyed it interweave each other as the rider witnesses its full destruction up close. The effects were so realistic a 60 year old woman had a heart attack. In case of a medical emergency, medical droids are strategically stationed inside every rise, usually in hidden wall panels so they can immediately appear on the scene if they detect a medical emergency. They are equipped to deal with heart attacks, fits of epilepsy, seizures, violent outbursts, broken bones, even limb regeneration (there's a ride where it's a boat ride through the devastation of Earth and at the part where the boat passes a spinning helicopter blade, one person every year gets their fingers sliced off for reaching up). There's a fighting ring where people can go to mech suits (non lethal) and do punch outs or fire rubber bullets at each other, displaying the technology of major corporations. There's a laser tag arena where participants are given guns that only fire harmless lasers, but behave and act like real weapons on a much smaller scale. This is a test for potential soldiers, which is kept track through leaderboards on who got the highest scores or survived until the end. Participants are often put into "units" that have to work together in order to win matches. All of it is harmless fun on the surface, but it helps separate people with good instincts, a sense of teamwork, and quick reflexes. All of is themed after Kalen Cissco, a galaxy renowned soldier responsible for defending the colony single handed by a group of space pirates looking to conquer it. To this day, he holds the highest score in laser tag. Interactive tours are also present where most of the food carts are located, ensuring at least a small group of eight or nine children whenever they start. They show off wreckages from Earth and other failed colonies, negatively reinforcing viewers the consequences of not maintaining their own colony. Another popular ride is a math oriented bumper car type of game that is meant to teach children mathematics by pitting them into teams trying to bump giant balls into the coresponding goal based on the question overhead. Winners are given trophies, free food tickets, and other prizes, encouraging them to pay attention to whats being taught in school that week.
Parents often go with their children for the first time, but they are encouraged to let them discover things in the park and go by themselves sometimes while they sit outside, usually by the age of 12. The main goal of the park is to present the fantastical aspects of Xenar 242's different career options by showing their best moments. They tally what rides children go on through the tags all of them are given when entering so they can adjust their advertisements and career opportunities in schools. They also want children to build independence at a young age in order to give more encouragement to make it on their own. Xenar 242 hates dealing with lazy or homeless people.
